Bringing the Church to the Neighborhoods
One of the traditions of Pilsen is having summer Street Masses.
We take the Mass to the people in the neighborhood to pray for peace and build community. We help show the gangs that they aren't the only organization influencing our families.
You are all more than welcome to join us every evening except Sunday at one of our neighborhood locations. Mass begins at 6:30 followed by a "convivencia" of food, conversation that help cement the bonds of friendship in our community.
We are always grateful to Senora Teresa Olivia Dominguez and her daughter Marisol who work so hard to organize the host families, street closings, sound system, and song books.
