Welcome
Alive Youth Ministry at St. Procopius/Holy Trinity welcomes all the youth in our community to become a part of our youth group. Alive Youth Ministry is run by its 5 active youth ministers volunteering their time and knowledge to the continued success of Alive Youth Ministry. Alive Youth Ministry was established in March of 2009 with a small membership of youth members and ministers combined. Slowly and gradually Alive Youth Ministry has grown and is at its current high with nearly 20 active youth members.
MISSION
To guide the Youth in the St. Procopius/Holy Trinity Parish to make the right decisions in life and help them learn who they are as a person and who they want to be. Alive Youth Ministry members will learn more about themselves by building a better relationship with the Lord, helping their community, and creating bonds with other youth who share this mission.
VISION
To become a fundamental part of the St. Procopius/Holy Trinity Parish for Youth by allowing them to learn and grow through themselves and the Lord.
GOALS
- Challenge our youth to be Alive in their Faith by doing weekly reflections and participating in the life of the Church.
- Challenge our youth to be Alive as Community Leaders by participating in community service projects and learning leadership skills.
- Challenge our youth to be Alive as individuals by learning skills in the arts, sports and academics.
ROLES
There are several roles one can play within Alive Youth Ministry. Those roles include being a youth member, youth minister, adult volunteer, and sponsor.
Youth member: A youth between the ages of 12-18 who is willing to learn more of themeselves and the Lord through friendships and learning during our weekly meetings.
Youth Minister: An adult leader who is answering God's call to minister to youth and is willing to commit fully to the youth group by attending the weekly meetings. This youth minister should be willing to receive the training and formation needed to effectively minister to youth.
Adult Volunteer: An adult who is willing to teach social skills to the teens by committing on teaching, coaching, or training in a periodic basis (it could be once a month, bi-weekly, or weekly).
Sponsor: An adult who is willing to make a donation for the general operations of the youth group or for a specific initiative of the youth group.
Alive Youth Ministry encourages any and all who wish to become a part of our youth group to join us during our weekly meetings at our Youth Center at 1639 S Allport onTuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm or email us alive.ym@gmail.com.
